Ada County Weed, Pest and Mosquito Drone Shop and Parking Lot 2026

Background

The Ada County Weed, Pest and Mosquito Abatement complex is seeking to construct a new Drone Shop and parking lot at their facility located at 975 E. Pine Ave., Meridian, Idaho 83642. The project aims to enhance the operational capabilities of the agency in managing pest and mosquito control effectively. The contract is issued by Ada County Procurement, with oversight from the Board of Ada County Commissioners.

Work Details

The construction contract includes providing all materials and labor necessary for the construction of a drone shop and parking lot. Specific tasks include: - Site preparation and selective demolition as needed. - Concrete work including polished concrete finishing and precast architectural concrete. - Masonry work including unit masonry and adhered stone masonry veneer. - Metal fabrications such as pipe and tube railings. - Woodwork including rough carpentry and sheathing. - Installation of thermal and moisture protection systems, including waterproofing, insulation, and weather barriers. - Construction of openings such as hollow metal doors, flush wood doors, sectional doors, and aluminum-framed entrances. - Interior finishes including gypsum board installation, ceramic tiling, acoustical tile ceilings, resilient base installation, and painting.

Period of Performance

The contractor is expected to commence work upon issuance of the Notice to Proceed, which is anticipated to be issued within ten days after executing the Construction Contract. Substantial Completion is required no later than February 1, 2027, with Final Completion required by February 8, 2027.

The contract will be performed at the Ada County Weed, Pest and Mosquito Abatement complex located at 975 E. Pine Ave., Meridian, Idaho 83642.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must be licensed in the State of Idaho under the Public Works Contractor Act. They are required to submit a Bidder’s security in the form of cash or a certified check equal to at least five percent (5%) of the Total Bid Amount. Bidders must also attend a mandatory pre-bid meeting on June 1, 2026, at the project site to familiarize themselves with existing conditions.
