Lebanon 2027 Ambulance

Background

The City of Lebanon is issuing a Request for Proposal (RFP) for the procurement of a new Type 1 Ambulance for the Lebanon Fire Department. The purpose of this contract is to enhance the emergency medical services provided by the department, ensuring they have a modern and reliable ambulance that meets current standards and specifications.

Work Details

The contractor will provide a 2027 Type 1-AD Ambulance, which must conform to KKK-A-1822F standards and NFPA 1917 recommendations where applicable. The ambulance should be based on a Ford F-550 4X4 chassis with a diesel engine and XLT trim level. Key specifications include: - Heavy-duty construction with ample safety factors. - A modular ambulance body with increased GVWR, storage, and payload capacity. - Equipment such as a Whelen 200W siren, dual purpose backup camera system, LED lighting, and various storage compartments designed for emergency medical equipment. - Interior features including cabinets with plexi-glass doors, LED lighting, and space for essential medical equipment like IV supplies and oxygen tanks. - Exterior features such as heavy-duty rubber rub rails, illuminated compartments, and various warning lights from Whelen Engineering.

Period of Performance

The contract work is expected to commence within five calendar days after the issuance of the Notice to Proceed. It must be completed within a specified timeframe as outlined in the contract documents.

Place of Performance

The performance of this contract will take place in Lebanon, New Hampshire, specifically at locations designated by the Lebanon Fire Department.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must demonstrate adequate financial resources, experience in similar projects, compliance with performance schedules, and possess necessary licenses and bonding. They are required to provide proof of insurance covering workers' compensation, general liability, automobile liability, and other specified types. Additionally, bidders must submit references for at least fifteen similarly constructed ambulances currently in service.
