DEM Design Build Construction and Site Readiness Services Alton Jones Campus

Background

The Rhode Island Department of Environmental Management (RIDEM) is issuing a Request for Proposals (RFP) for a Design Build Project aimed at providing comprehensive design, permitting, construction, and site readiness services for the Alton Jones Campus. The goal of this contract is to enhance the campus facilities in alignment with RIDEM's mission to manage and protect the state's natural resources.

Work Details

The contractor will be responsible for: 1. Design services that meet the specifications outlined by RIDEM. 2. Obtaining necessary permits from relevant authorities. 3. Construction activities as per the approved designs, ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations. 4. Site readiness services that prepare the campus for future use, including any necessary infrastructure improvements.

Period of Performance

The contract period will commence approximately two weeks after the issuance of a Purchase Order (PO) and will last for two years, with potential renewals for up to two additional 12-month periods based on performance and funding availability.

Place of Performance

The work will be performed at the Alton Jones Campus located in West Greenwich, Rhode Island.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must have a valid certificate of registration issued by the Rhode Island Contractors’ Registration Board throughout the contract term. Additionally, vendors must comply with all licensing requirements relevant to their services and provide evidence of such licenses with their proposals.
