Background The 88th Medical Group (88 MDG) at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base (AFB), Ohio, has a requirement for non-personal Medical Linen and Laundry Services. The goal of the contract is to ensure the provision of hygienically clean medical linens in compliance with health regulations and industry standards. Work Details The Contractor shall provide all personnel, equipment, facilities, transportation, and materials necessary to pick up, commercially launder, finish, package, and deliver hygienically clean medical linens. The contractor's processing facility must be certified by the Healthcare Laundry Accreditation Council (HLAC) or the Textile Rental Services Association (TRSA) for 'Hygienically Clean Healthcare.' All laundering processes must comply with OSHA Bloodborne Pathogens Standards and CDC Guidelines for Environmental Infection Control. Key performance objectives include: 1) 100% compliance with HLAC/TRSA standards; 2) No more than 2 discrepancies per month for pickup and delivery; 3) No more than 2 discrepancies per month for packaging and labeling; 4) 95% compliance with quality and sustainability standards; 5) 100% compliance with OSHA standards for contaminated linens; 6) Government deduction from invoice equivalent to the replacement value of lost/damaged linen; 7) Biannual testing reports showing metrics within acceptable tolerances. Period of Performance The contract will consist of an eight (8) month Base Period from August 1, 2026, to March 31, 2027, followed by four (4) one-year Option Periods.
