Six Forks Road Bus Stop ADA Landing Pad Construction and Site Work

Background

The City of Raleigh, North Carolina, is issuing this contract for the Midtown Spot Safety Improvements Phase 1 project. The goal of this project is to enhance transit connectivity and improve rider accessibility along Six Forks Road, a high-traffic corridor. This initiative includes bus stop improvements at seven locations between Rowan Street and Millbrook Road.

Work Details

The major work under this contract includes the construction of ADA-compliant landing pads at each of the seven bus stop locations. The contractor will be responsible for all aspects of landing pad installation, which involves associated grading and concrete work. Bus shelters will be installed separately by GoRaleigh under a different contract.

Place of Performance

The work will be performed along Six Forks Road in Raleigh, North Carolina, specifically at seven designated bus stop locations between Rowan Street and Millbrook Road.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must show evidence of being licensed to perform the work as required by North Carolina General Statute, Chapter 87. Additionally, bid security in the amount of five percent (5%) of the bid must accompany each submission. The City encourages participation from certified Minority and Woman-Owned Business Enterprises (MWBE) and requires prime contractors to identify MWBE participation in their bids.
