The Health Department is undergoing a complete renovation, and the requested furniture is essential for this project. The goal is to ensure that the Health Department has aesthetically pleasing, durable, and performance-oriented furnishings by the completion date.

Work Details

The vendor will be responsible for furnishing all labor, materials, tools, equipment, and incidentals necessary to provide the furniture, including delivery and installation. All products must be ready for use by the Health Department's grand opening. The Bill of Materials outlines specific items required which include various types of furniture such as: - Bookcases - Conference tables - Guest chairs (standard and bariatric) - Lateral files - Nesting chairs - Private office setups - Storage cabinets - Task chairs - Workstations - Breakroom tables - Ganged seating. Vendors may propose substitutions for specified manufacturers if they meet or exceed the quality standards outlined in the Bill of Materials.

Bidder Requirements

Vendors must be properly licensed to do business in Tennessee and may need to obtain a Certificate of Authority if incorporated outside of Tennessee. A bid deposit (bond) of 5% of the proposal amount is required with submissions. Vendors must also submit a notarized Drug-Free Workplace Affidavit if applicable and comply with federal funding provisions including providing a UEI number. Additionally, vendors are required to furnish Performance & Payment Bonds upon contract award.
