Provision of Consultant Services - Sewer Collection System Hydraulic

Background

The Town of Hanover is seeking qualified engineering firms to provide consultant services for the development of a hydraulic model to evaluate the capacity of its wastewater collection system. The firm must be registered and in good standing in New Hampshire, with extensive experience in hydraulic modeling, NH SRF funding, and sewer design.

Work Details

The project involves creating a hydraulic model of the Town's wastewater collection system, which includes approximately 44 miles of gravity sewer main. The model will assess capacity under wet and dry conditions for current and anticipated future flows. The work will be phased into two or more sections, with the first phase focusing on downtown hydraulic modeling. Key tasks include: - Conducting a project kickoff meeting - Reviewing existing GIS and CAD data - Performing springtime flow metering - Preparing reports on flow metering results - Developing and calibrating the hydraulic model using state-of-the-art software - Providing training on software operation if requested by the Town.

Period of Performance

The contract is expected to commence within 14 days from the Notice to Proceed. It will include phases that start with information review followed by springtime flow monitoring beginning no later than April 1, 2027. Phase 2 work is anticipated to follow immediately after Phase 1 completion, subject to funding.

Place of Performance

The services will be performed in Hanover, New Hampshire.

Bidder Requirements

Consultants must demonstrate at least 10 years of relevant experience in hydraulic sewer modeling for similar-sized communities. They must provide qualifications for key team members and evidence of successful past projects. Additionally, consultants must have staff licensed to perform the required work.
