The City of Lincoln, through its Information Services department, is seeking bids from qualified vendors for the installation of a Broadband Conduit System and Fiber Cable along 70th Street between Yankee Hill Road and Rokeby Road in Lincoln, Nebraska. This project aims to enhance the city's broadband infrastructure.

Work Details

The vendor will be responsible for the complete installation of the City Broadband Conduit System and Fiber Cable. This includes all costs associated with labor, supervision, materials, supplies, permits, and licenses required to perform the services as outlined in the specifications and plans. Specific tasks include: - Installation of T-48 Pullboxes (5 units) - Installation of T-60 Pullbox (1 unit) - Removal of T-48 Pull Box (1 unit) - Installation of Ground Rods (6 units) - Installation of Ground Bars (6 units) - Bored Conduit (MLCG Bored 6 - 1.25" SDR11, 4960 linear feet; MLCG Bored 7 - 1.25" SDR11, 20 linear feet) - Fiber Optic Cable Splice Enclosure (Small, 1 unit) - Fiber Optic Cable (96 Strand, Single Mode, 1265 linear feet) - Fiber Optic Cable Fusion Splice (2 units) - Trace Wire - Material and Installation (4960 feet) - Temporary Traffic Control - Equipment and Labor (1 lump sum). The vendor must also ensure compliance with local regulations regarding removal and disposal of materials.

Period of Performance

The contract is expected to be completed within 45 construction days following the execution of the contract.

The work will be performed on-site along 70th Street between Yankee Hill Road and Rokeby Road in Lincoln, Nebraska.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must meet all FOP contractor requirements including insurance requirements as specified in the applicable documents. Vendors must be approved FOP contractors prior to contract execution. Additionally, bidders are required to submit a bid bond or certified check amounting to five percent (5%) of the total bid amount as a guarantee of good faith prior to bid opening.
