Background

The County of Hawai'i is seeking bids for the procurement of two Sports Utility Vehicles (SUVs) as part of its initiative to enhance the operational capabilities of its Human Resources Department. The goal is to provide reliable transportation for the Health & Safety Division, ensuring that personnel can effectively carry out their duties.

Work Details

The contract involves furnishing and delivering two (2) new Sports Utility Vehicles (SUVs) that meet specific requirements. The vehicles must be the latest model year, fully assembled, and in good running order. They should include standard accessories as per manufacturer specifications, comply with all Federal, State, and OSHA regulations, and come with a minimum thirty-six (36) month bumper-to-bumper warranty. The vehicles must be delivered to the Automotive Equipment Division in Hilo, HI, with a full tank of fuel and necessary manuals. Specific requirements include:

Vehicle Type

4-Door Four-Wheel Drive SUV similar to a 2026 or newer Ford Explorer or Toyota 4Runner. - Engine: Gasoline with an 8-speed automatic transmission or better. - Features: Anti-lock braking system, electronic stability control, traction control, tire pressure monitoring system, hill start assist, airbags, remote keyless entry, and a touchscreen display. - Color: Standard white. - Accessories: Rain guard vent shades on all applicable doors.

Period of Performance

The delivery of the vehicles must occur within 180 days from the date of the Notice to Proceed.

Place of Performance

Delivery will be made to the Automotive Equipment Division located at 630 E Lanikaula St Hilo, HI 96720.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must be licensed to convey and sell motor vehicles in accordance with all State and County laws. Proof of compliance with tax clearance and other regulatory requirements will be mandatory for contracts exceeding $2,500.00. No bid bonds or performance bonds are required for this IFB.
