Background

The Land Clearance for Redevelopment Authority of the City of Saint Louis (LCRA) is seeking bids for General Contracting Services at 3940 Dr. Martin Luther King Drive, also known as The Monarch on MLK. The goal of this contract is to stabilize and transform an approximate 150,000-square-foot industrial building into a mix of office and industrial uses. This project will be funded by the Coronavirus State and Local Fiscal Recovery Fund allocated to the City of St. Louis by the U.S. Department of the Treasury.

Work Details

The contractor will provide general contracting services for the renovation and stabilization of Buildings 13-18 at the specified address. This includes all necessary construction activities to convert the existing industrial space into functional office and industrial environments, ensuring compliance with relevant safety and building codes. The contractor is responsible for managing subcontractors, procurement of materials, and maintaining project timelines.

Period of Performance

The contract work is expected to commence upon award and must be completed by December 31, 2024, as per funding obligations set forth under the American Rescue Plan Act.
