Recreation Facility Upgrades and Equipment Purchases

A recent meeting document Santa Fe - Governing Body Special Packet - 2026-05-14 indicates a future potential acquisition The Recreation Division purchased and installed several upgrades, including new pool equipment and motors to enhance water and air quality; updates to the GCCC Ice Arena heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) and dehumidification systems; renovation of the GCCC stucco; and replacement of the Ice Arena reverse osmosis water system and the water-cooling towers. The proposed FY27 budget includes $441,425 for various contracted services for the Recreation Division (including the Genoveva Chavez Community Center [GCCC]). The department also plans to advance a comprehensive preventative maintenance schedule across all Recreation facilities, including the installation of new pumps and motors in pool areas. These projects will require outside vendors for construction, renovation, equipment supply, and maintenance services.
