Future Pearson Field Airport Capital Improvement Projects (CIP) and Construction Opportunities

A recent meeting document City of Vancouver - Aviation Advisory Committee Agenda Packet - 2026-05-13 indicates a future potential acquisition As part of the Pearson Field Airport Master Plan update (2026–2046), Century West Engineering will develop a detailed Capital Improvement Program (CIP) that will identify, prioritize, and schedule airport development projects over a 20-year period. The CIP will include projects such as airside (runway/taxiway) improvements, hangar and aircraft parking expansions, utility extensions, terminal area upgrades, security fencing, road and parking improvements, and environmental mitigation measures. The CIP will provide cost estimates, funding sources (including FAA AIP grants), and a phasing diagram for implementation. While specific projects and values will be determined as the Master Plan is finalized, the CIP will serve as the basis for future solicitations for design, engineering, construction, and related consulting services. The plan will also identify projects that may require additional studies, environmental assessments, or property acquisition. The CIP is expected to be completed as part of the Master Plan by late 2027, after which individual projects will be advanced for funding and procurement. Contractors and vendors specializing in airport construction, engineering, environmental services, and related fields should monitor the City of Vancouver and Pearson Field for upcoming RFPs and bid opportunities stemming from the adopted CIP.
