Village of Winnetka Solar Educational Event (Fall 2026)

A recent meeting document Winnetka - Environmental Forestry Sustainability Commission Agenda - 2026-05-13 indicates a future potential acquisition The Environmental, Forestry, & Sustainability Commission is planning a solar educational event for Fall/September 2026. Tim Ring is leading the formulation of the event, which will include several solar installers, homeowners, and Village permitting or utility staff to meet interested residents and answer questions. The event will require identification of a space and supplies, and there was a question raised about the budget to pay for any expenses. Tim will develop an outline and general plan for the event. This type of event may require outside vendors for event planning, educational materials, venue rental, and possibly catering or A/V services. There is a potential for contracts with solar installation companies for demonstrations or sponsorships, as well as with event management vendors.
