Background The project is initiated by Laughlin Air Force Base (LAFB) to repair and replace the chain link security fence for the Refueling Parking Area. The mission of this contract is to ensure compliance with security standards for fuels management and airfield fencing requirements, which are critical for maintaining safety in proximity to an active airfield. The contractor will be responsible for providing a complete design and construction solution. Work Details The contractor shall perform the following tasks: 1. Design and install approximately 2,500 linear feet of new chain link fence, including gates that meet all security standards. 2. Provide all necessary materials, labor, tools, equipment, transportation, and incidentals required to complete the work as outlined in the Statement of Work (SOW). 3. Adhere to strict safety and security protocols due to the project's location near an active airfield. 4. Conduct field surveys and investigations to gather data necessary for preparing contract plans, specifications, cost estimates, and construction schedules. 5. Ensure compliance with Laughlin General Plan and Design Standards throughout the project. Period of Performance The contract performance period is expected to be 301 calendar days from the date of notice to proceed. Place of Performance The construction projects will be performed at Laughlin Air Force Base, TX.
