Background

The Columbus Consolidated Government is seeking bids from qualified vendors to supply stone on an 'as needed' basis for the Public Works Department. The contract aims to ensure a reliable source of various grades of stone, which the City uses approximately two hundred tons per month. Work Details

The contractor will provide various grades of stone, including but not limited to: - #3 Stone (1" to 2") - #34 Stone (1" to 2 ½") - #5 Stone (2" to 3/4") - #57 Commercial (1/4" to 1") - #6 Stone (1/4" to 3/4") - #67 Stone (1/8" to 3/4") - #7 Stone (1/8" to 2") - #89 Stone (1/8" to 3/8") and several types of screenings and rip-rap. The estimated quantities range from 600 tons to 6,000 tons depending on the type of stone. Deliveries must be made within two hours after notification, with full delivery service being the responsibility of the contractor. Invoices must accompany orders upon delivery, and payment will be processed based on priced invoices only.

Period of Performance

The contract term is for two years with an option for three additional twelve-month renewals, contingent upon mutual agreement between the City and the Contractor.

Place of Performance

The services will be performed within the geographic limits of Columbus, Georgia, specifically at various job sites as designated by the Public Works Department.

Bidder Requirements
