Background The Government is issuing a single source solicitation for the procurement of services related to the recalibration and certification of the Niton XL2 Analyzer. The contract is associated with the Nuclear Inspections Division at Norfolk Naval Shipyard (NNSY), which aims to ensure that analytical instruments are maintained to high operational standards. Work Details Thermo Scientific Portable Analytical Instruments shall provide full factory repair, recalibration, and certification of two Niton XL2 analyzers (S/Ns 72540 and 72732). This includes: - Performing all necessary repairs as requested during the contract period. - Providing a Niton XRF Premium Service Plan covering minor, intermediate, and major repairs at no additional cost. - Conducting annual calibrations for each analyzer. - Offering a 75% discount on consumable purchases and providing loaner units at no cost. - Supplying documentation to Code 139, NNSY, confirming that all requirements have been met. Period of Performance The period of performance will commence upon acceptance of the awarded contract by Thermo Scientific and will last for 1825 days.
