The State of Missouri's Department of Health and Senior Services is issuing this Invitation for Bid (IFB) to implement high-priority projects from the Missouri Cancer Action Plan. The aim is to enhance cancer screening, prevention, and survivorship through community partnerships. This initiative is part of a broader effort to address cancer control in Missouri, particularly as the state prepares for the next iteration of the Cancer Action Plan for 2027-2032.
The contractor will implement at least two (2) but not more than three (3) high-priority projects from the Missouri Cancer Action Plan focusing on: 1. Screening: Projects may include lung cancer screening completion, community outreach for colorectal cancer screening options, retail and community-based access points for cancer screening, and genetic risk assessment strategies. 2. Prevention: Projects may involve community-based nutrition education, reducing radon gas exposure, and healthcare provider training for effective prevention counseling. 3. Survivorship: Projects may focus on reducing food insecurity among cancer survivors, informing decisions about survivorship resources offered by employers and payers, and expanding access to mental health support services for survivors. The contractor must attend at least 50% of regular workgroup meetings and provide regular progress updates.
The contract period will commence upon award and extend through June 29, 2027.
The services will be performed in various locations within the State of Missouri as determined by project needs.
