Background

The City of Phoenix, Arizona, through its Office of the City Engineer, is seeking qualifications for Water Facilities General Engineering On-Call Services. The mission of the Water Services Department is to oversee projects that support hundreds of facilities throughout the city's water system, which includes water treatment plants, groundwater production wells, and various other water-related infrastructure. The goal of this contract is to engage up to ten qualified consultants who can provide study, design, construction administration, and inspection services on an as-needed basis.

Work Details

Consultants will be responsible for providing a range of engineering services including: studies and evaluations (field surveys and investigations), data collection, assessments and inspections, modeling, cost estimation and cost model review, permit and regulatory assistance, design document preparation (plans and specifications), construction administration and inspection (CA&I), and construction support. The selected firms must manage multiple projects simultaneously while coordinating with City staff and contractors. The use of UNIFIER, a web-based project management database provided by the City, may be required.

Period of Performance

The contract will have an initial period of 36 months or until $6,000,000 per consultant is reached. There is an option to renew for an additional 24-month term or until the maximum contract amount reaches $10,000,000 per consultant.

Place of Performance

Services will be performed throughout the City of Phoenix's water system at various facilities including treatment plants and storage reservoirs.
