Background

The North Carolina Department of Adult Correction is seeking competitive bids for the supply of Poultry Products to fulfill dietary requirements at the Correction Enterprise Meat Processing Plant. The intent of this solicitation is to award an Agency Specific Term Contract for these products on an 'As needed' basis.

Work Details

The contract involves furnishing and delivering Poultry Products, specifically Chicken White Trim Meat, Boneless/Skinless Thigh Meat, Jumbo Layer Pack Legs, and Turkey Thighs. The vendor must ensure that all products comply with USDA, NCDA, and FDA standards. Delivery is required to be Free-On-Board (FOB) Destination to specified locations within North Carolina. Vendors must provide a signed statement from the manufacturer confirming authorization to distribute or resell the products offered. All products must have a minimum shelf life of six months at the time of delivery, and any overages will not be accepted. Quality control measures include providing Safety Data Sheets with each invoice and adhering to a Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP) plan.

Period of Performance

Vendors must be registered in good standing with North Carolina's Electronic Vendor Portal (eVP). They are required to submit completed forms including ATTACHMENT A: PRICING FORM and ATTACHMENT D: HUB SUPPLEMENTAL VENDOR INFORMATION. Vendors must also provide references using ATTACHMENT E: CUSTOMER REFERENCE FORM and certify their financial stability through ATTACHMENT G: CERTIFICATION OF FINANCIAL CONDITION.
