Mechanical and Controls Maintenance Services

Background

Delaware State University (DSU), located in Dover, Delaware, is seeking qualified contractors to provide comprehensive maintenance, repair, and support services for all heating, ventilation, air conditioning (HVAC) systems, as well as building automation and control systems across campus. Founded in 1891 as one of America’s Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs), DSU has a diverse student population and a commitment to preparing students for global challenges.

Work Details

The selected vendor will provide all equipment, materials, software, and labor necessary to fulfill the contract requirements. This includes comprehensive maintenance and repair services for HVAC systems and building automation/control systems. The vendor must ensure that the University receives state-of-the-art materials and services. Specific tasks include: - Regular maintenance checks on HVAC systems - Emergency repair services - Installation of new HVAC units if required - Upgrades to existing control systems - Compliance with all applicable laws and regulations regarding safety and environmental standards.

Period of Performance

The contract will be for three (3) years with an option to renew for three (3) additional one-year extensions by negotiation. The projected contract start date is July 1, 2026.

Place of Performance

All services will be performed at Delaware State University’s campus located at 1200 North DuPont Highway, Dover, Delaware.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must possess the necessary Delaware licenses or certifications to perform the required services. They are also required to provide proof of Errors and Omissions insurance prior to the start of the contract period. Additionally, bidders must complete all appropriate attachments and forms as identified within the RFP.
