Background The Navy District Washington (NDW) is seeking a qualified Contractor to provide eight (8) Dual Lane Weapons Detection Systems for rental, delivery set-up, and pick-up in support of the NAS Patuxent River Air Show, which is expected to host 80-100,000 spectators. The goal of this contract is to ensure effective security screening at the event. Work Details The Contractor shall provide all personnel, equipment, tools, parts, supervision, and other items and services necessary for the following tasks: delivery, installation, calibration, instruction on proper usage of the systems, teardown/removal after the event, and labor. The provided equipment must be capable of screening for weapons/threatening devices in accordance with TSA screening protocols. Training for NDW security personnel on the operation of the systems will be conducted upon installation. The Contractor will also be responsible for ensuring that all work complies with Federal, State, local regulations and procedures. Period of Performance The contract performance dates are from June 19 to June 22, 2026. The scanners must be delivered by 0800 on June 19, set up and ready for training by 1200 on the same day. Removal of the scanners must begin at 1700 on June 21 and be completed by 0800 on June 22. Place of Performance The geographic location for performance is NAS Patuxent River at Hanger 101 Entry Control Point, located at 47765 Ranch Rd4, Patuxent River, MD 20670.
