Background The United States Coast Guard (USCG) is issuing this contract for the replacement of HVAC units at the Aids to Navigation Team (ANT) Long Island Sound facility located in New Haven, CT. The goal of this contract is to ensure the efficient operation of heating and cooling systems critical to the facility's operations, adhering to current efficiency standards and regulations. Work Details The contractor is required to perform the following tasks: 1. Remove and properly dispose of three existing air-cooled outdoor HVAC condensing units. 2. Install three new HVAC condensing units that match existing specifications including tonnage, BTU capacity, voltage, and phase, while meeting or exceeding current minimum efficiency standards. 3. Install five programmable digital thermostats compatible with the new HVAC systems. 4. Ensure installation includes new refrigerant line sets, filter driers, service disconnects, electrical whip connections, mounting pads, vibration isolation pads, anchoring hardware, and reconnection to existing ducted systems as necessary. 5. Recover all refrigerant in compliance with EPA regulations and provide documentation for proper recovery and disposal. 6. Conduct pressure testing, evacuation to manufacturer specifications, proper charging with refrigerant, and full commissioning of all systems to verify correct operation. All work must comply with the International Mechanical Code (IMC), National Electrical Code (NEC), EPA refrigerant handling requirements, and other applicable codes. Period of Performance The period of performance for this contract is thirty (30) calendar days from the date of Notice to Proceed (NTP). All removals, installations, startup, commissioning, and testing must be completed within this timeframe. Place of Performance The construction projects will be performed at the Aids to Navigation Team (ANT) Long Island Sound facility located at 120 Woodward Ave, New Haven CT 06512-3628.
