Erie County Sewer District No. 2 North Evans Pumping Station and Herr Road Pumping Station Backup Battery Energy Storage System

Background

The Erie County Sewer District (ECSD) No. 2 is issuing this contract to enhance the energy storage capabilities at the North Evans Pumping Station and the Herr Road Pumping Station. The goal of this contract is to install a Backup Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) that will support the operational efficiency and reliability of these facilities in the Town of Evans, NY.

Work Details

The project involves the installation of two (2) 3-phase, 208V, 150kWh backup Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS). One system will be installed inside the North Evans Pumping Station, while the other will be located outside at the Herr Road Pumping Station. The scope includes all necessary controls, communications systems, transfer switches, roll-up generator docking stations, and all related electrical connections and components required for a complete and functional installation.

Period of Performance

The contract work is expected to commence upon award and must be completed by June 3, 2026.

Place of Performance

The work will be performed at two locations: North Evans Pumping Station and Herr Road Pumping Station, both situated in the Town of Evans, NY.
