Background The National Park Service (NPS) is issuing this solicitation for the upgrade of security and intrusion systems at Joshua Tree National Park, California. The mission of the NPS is to preserve the natural and cultural resources of the parks while providing for their enjoyment by the public. This contract aims to enhance security measures at both historic and non-historic buildings within the park, ensuring safety and protection of park assets. Work Details The contractor will be responsible for the following tasks: 1. Security & Intrusion System Upgrades for Non-Historic Buildings, which includes maintenance, repair, and rebuilding of alarm, signal, and security detection systems. 2. Security & Intrusion System Upgrades for Historic Black Rock Nature Center, also involving maintenance, repair, and rebuilding of similar systems. The work will require direct supervision on-site by the prime contractor to ensure quality control, safety management, and adherence to project schedules. The contractor must demonstrate authority over subcontractors and ability to make real-time adjustments in case of non-conformance issues. Period of Performance The period of performance for the contract is from July 1, 2026, to June 30, 2027 for non-historic buildings; and from April 1, 2026 to December 31, 2026 for historic upgrades. Place of Performance The contract will be performed at Joshua Tree National Park located in California.
