Bridge Painting

Background

The Commonwealth of Virginia, through its Department of Transportation (VDOT), is issuing a contract for bridge painting services. The project aims to maintain and enhance the structural integrity and aesthetics of various bridges located in Fauquier County, within the Culpeper district. This initiative is part of VDOT's ongoing efforts to ensure safe and reliable transportation infrastructure across the state.

Work Details

The contractor will be responsible for the following tasks: 1. Recoating existing structures identified by federal IDs (07147, 07151, 07397, 07408) with protective paint. 2. Implementing environmental protection and health safety measures during the work process for each federal ID listed. 3. Proper disposal of materials as per federal guidelines for each federal ID listed. 4. Providing access for National Bridge Inspection Standards (NBIS) under bridges for specified days as per federal IDs (07147, 07151, 07397, 07408). 5. Maintenance of traffic during construction to ensure safety and minimize disruption to road users.

Period of Performance

The contract is expected to commence upon award and must be completed by June 22, 2027.

Place of Performance

The work will take place at various bridge locations in Fauquier County, Virginia.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must meet prequalification requirements set by VDOT and provide evidence of compliance with all applicable regulations including those related to environmental protection and safety standards. Additionally, contractors are required to submit a Vendor Survey Form detailing their subcontractor utilization plans.
