The Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) is issuing this Invitation to Bid (ITB) to establish a purchase contract with qualified suppliers for Remote and Non-Remote-Controlled Slope Mower units. The goal of this contract is to procure equipment that meets the operational needs of ODOT across various districts in Ohio.

Work Details

The contract involves the supply of Remote and Non-Remote-Controlled Slope Mowers. Bidders must provide detailed specifications for the mowers, including compliance with all federal and state regulations. Each unit must be delivered with a full tank of fuel and diesel exhaust fluid. The net unit bid price must include delivery charges to any of ODOT’s twelve districts and eighty-eight county locations within Ohio. Delivery is required within 200 calendar days of receipt of a valid Purchase Order, and all deliveries must occur between 8:00 a.m. and 2:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. The awarded vendor must accept purchase orders throughout the contract duration, including any extensions. Additional charges for installation, assembly, labor, and inspection costs should be included in the bid price. Vendors are required to submit descriptive literature for the units being bid.

Period of Performance

The effective duration of this contract shall be twelve (12) months from the Date of Award, with an option for ODOT to extend the contract unilaterally for one (1) additional month at the original unit bid prices.

Place of Performance

Delivery locations include ODOT’s twelve districts across Ohio: Lima, Bowling Green, Ashland, Akron, Jacksontown, Delaware, Sidney, Lebanon, Chillicothe, Marietta, New Philadelphia, Garfield Heights, as well as Central Garage in Columbus.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must be registered through the Ohio Shared Services Office to obtain an OAKS Vendor Identification Number prior to award. They must comply with all applicable federal and state laws regarding equal employment opportunity and fair labor practices. Additionally, bidders are required to certify that they are not debarred from consideration for contract awards by any governmental agency.
