Deck Porch, Stairs, and Ramp Replacement Project (CCSO Firing Range)

Background

Chatham County is soliciting competitive bids from qualified contractors to provide all materials, supplies, equipment, tools, and labor required for the deck porch, stairs, and ramp replacement project at the Chatham County Sheriff Office (CCSO) Firing Range Bldg. 1 and Bldg. 2. The goal of this contract is to ensure the replacement of these structures meets safety and accessibility standards.

Work Details

The contractor will be responsible for the removal and replacement of identified deck porch, stairs, and ramp at specified locations. Specific tasks include: - Installing new 6x6 posts set in concrete - Building new lattice under deck framing - Ensuring ramps meet all specification requirements and guidelines of the American Disability Act (ADA) - Providing all necessary materials which must be new, free of defects, and suitable for intended use. All wood used must be treated lumber. The contractor is also responsible for final cleanup of the areas and proper disposal of debris in compliance with applicable laws.

Period of Performance

Work shall begin within ten (10) days after receipt of the 'Notice to Proceed' letter. The completion date shall be within ninety (90) calendar days after this ten-day period.

Chatham County Sheriff Office Firing Range, 1050 Carl Griffin Dr., Savannah, Georgia 31405.

Bidder Requirements

Contractors must provide references from owners of at least three projects with similar scope of work. They must maintain minimum limits of insurance as specified in ITB Section II.2.15.2 throughout the duration of the contract and provide a current Occupational Tax Certificate from any municipality or county within Georgia at the time of contract award.
