HDPE Culvert Liner

Background

The Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) is issuing this solicitation to procure High-Density Polyethylene (HDPE) smooth wall culvert liners. This contract aims to support the infrastructure needs within Wythe County, Virginia, ensuring that the materials meet specified standards for quality and safety. The solicitation is set aside for small businesses, particularly those certified by the Department of Small Business and Supplier Diversity (DSBSD).

Work Details

The contractor is required to furnish and deliver a total of 105 linear feet of 24-inch outer diameter HDPE solid wall culvert liner, consisting of four 24-foot sections and one 9-foot section. The bid must include transportation costs, including any fuel surcharges. Additionally, the successful bidder must be listed on VDOT's approved manufacturers list for smooth wall culvert liners or provide documentation from an approved producer at the time of delivery. Delivery must occur within 30 days of receiving a purchase order at the Wytheville Area Headquarters located at 2749 Chapman Road, Wytheville, VA 24382. The contractor must notify VDOT at least 48 hours prior to delivery.

Period of Performance

The contract will be performed over a period of six months from the date of award and is non-renewable.

The work will be performed in Wythe County, Virginia.

Bidder Requirements

This solicitation is set aside for DSBSD-certified micro businesses or small businesses. Bidders must provide evidence of their certification on the due date for receipt of bids. Additionally, bidders are required to submit a completed form indicating the name of the manufacturer and shipping point as well as details regarding recycled content in plastic materials.
