Background
The Town of Stockbridge, VT is issuing a contract for the 2026 Blackmer Asphalt Pave/Shim/Patch project. The goal of this contract is to improve the roadway conditions on Blackmer Boulevard by applying asphalt paving, shimming, and patching as per the Vermont Town and Bridge Standards adopted on March 5th, 2026.
Work Details
The contractor shall provide paving services at a price per ton in place, which includes: cutting joints with a grinder on a skid steer, sweeping the road clear of debris prior to paving, and applying an asphalt tack before paving. The project involves two sites: Site #1 is approximately 2,000 feet long and 24 feet wide with a shim layer depth of 1.25 inches using Bituminous Concrete pavement TYPE IV (3/8’’). Site #2 is located just west of VT Route 107 with similar requirements. All areas to be shimmed are marked with orange paint. The contractor must provide delivery slips for materials to document tonnage used. All work will be supervised by the Town of Stockbridge Road Foreman.
