Work Details

The contractor shall provide all labor, materials, equipment, supervision, and incidentals necessary to complete the installation of chain link fencing and kennel enclosures as follows: 1. **Fence Installation**: Approximately 450 linear feet of 6-foot-high black vinyl-coated chain link fencing with 8-gauge fabric and 1-1/4 inch mesh. The system must include top and bottom rails for structural support. All components must be suitable for exterior use. 2. **Kennel Construction**: Ten (10) individual kennel enclosures, each measuring approximately 20’ x 30’. The layout must ensure separate and secure enclosures. 3. **Gate Installation**: Each kennel will have one (1) single swing gate measuring 3’ wide by 6’ high, totaling ten (10) gates made of matching black vinyl-coated chain link material with appropriate hardware. 4. **Gate Removal and Relocation**: Removal of one existing double drive gate (10’ wide) and relocation to a designated back property line with new posts set in concrete. 5. **Closure of Existing Opening**: Enclosing the previous opening with matching chain link fencing to maintain security. 6. **Installation Requirements**: All posts must be set plumb and anchored in concrete footings per industry standards, ensuring that all work is neat and complies with applicable codes.

Period of Performance

The contract work is expected to commence upon award and must be completed within a specified timeframe as determined by the contractor's stated completion time in their bid.

The work will be performed at the Frederick County Animal Shelter located at 161 Fort Collier Rd., Winchester VA 22603.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must hold a valid business license issued by the Virginia Board for Contractors, classified as Class A, B, or C based on project value thresholds.
