Oakley Sidewalk Extension

Background

The Town of Harrisburg is issuing a bid for the Oakley Sidewalk Extension project, which aims to extend the public sidewalk along the north side of Oakley Drive to connect with the existing sidewalk on Harris Depot Road. This project is part of the Town's efforts to enhance pedestrian infrastructure and ensure compliance with local standards and regulations.

Work Details

The scope of work includes: - Installation of approximately 1300 feet of new 5-foot wide concrete sidewalk - Curb ramps - Storm drainage - Grading - Traffic control - Mobilization - Erosion control - All other necessary work as per the project plans. Specific items include: - Mobilization

Erosion Control and Seeding

- Demolition - 4" Concrete Sidewalk (722 square yards) - Concrete Curb Ramp (3 each) - Concrete Curb and Gutter (1350 linear feet) - Remove and Replace Asphalt Driveway (1 lump sum) - New Concrete Driveway Aprons (6 each) - Concrete Drop Inlet with Grate (4 each) - Concrete Catch Basin with Hood and Grate (1 each) - 12" Class III RCP (134 linear feet) - Adjust Meter or Valve Box (8 each) - Landscaping as per drawing (1 lump sum) - Thermoplastic Pavement Markings for crosswalks (2 each) - Relocate/Adjust Existing Sign (2 each) - Relocate/Adjust Existing Mailbox (7 each) - Temporary Orange Mesh Construction Fencing (1350 linear feet).

Period of Performance

All work is to be completed by December 4th, 2026.

The contract will be performed along Oakley Drive in Harrisburg, North Carolina.
