Background
The Town of Milton is undertaking the construction of a new salt storage shed aimed at enhancing winter maintenance operations and safeguarding salt stockpiles from environmental exposure. This project includes paving work associated with the new shed.
Work Details
The Contractor shall provide all labor, materials, equipment, and incidentals necessary to complete the paving work, which includes: - Surface preparation for paving operations. - Installation of approximately 7,980 square feet of 2-1/2” Type II bituminous concrete base course for the entirety of the small bay and along the perimeter of the large bay. - Installation of approximately 14,300 square feet of 1-1/2” Type III bituminous concrete top course for the entire salt shed area. - Providing smooth transitions between new and existing pavement surfaces. - Compaction of all materials to applicable standards and specifications. - Cleanup and removal of excess materials and debris upon completion of work.
