Summary (Newest Update)

Background The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Consolidated Mail Outpatient Pharmacy (CMOP) program serves over seven million enrolled Veterans, dispensing more than 120 million prescriptions annually for VA Medical Centers (VAMCs) and Community Based Outpatient Clinics (CBOCs) across the United States. The CMOP has identified a continued need for repacked pharmaceuticals from a Food and Drug Administration (FDA) licensed repacker/distributor to improve operational efficiency and delivery times to veteran patients. The contract aims to fulfill the requirement for pharmaceutical repacking services across seven CMOP facilities. Work Details The Contractor shall provide pharmaceutical repacking services for seven CMOP facilities, which includes: receiving bulk shipments of pharmaceuticals, validating products, repacking into various bottle sizes as instructed by the Contracting Officer (CO), and shipping orders to designated CMOP locations. The Contractor must ensure that Government-owned pharmaceuticals are physically segregated from non-Government products and that all actions comply with applicable FDA, DEA, EPA, and other regulations. The Contractor is expected to handle approximately 17 million repacked bottles per year based on historical data. Repacking will include various count sizes such as 15-count, 30-count, up to 950-count bottles, as well as bulk sizes like 1-liter to 4-liter bottles. The Contractor will also be responsible for retention samples and may negotiate short-term warehousing fees if supply chain issues arise. Place of Performance Multiple locations across the United States where the seven CMOP facilities are situated.
