Background The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (FWS) is issuing this solicitation for the Window Repair/Replacement Project at the MS Sandhill Crane National Wildlife Refuge (NWR). The primary goal of this contract is to address water intrusion and termite damage to windows at the Visitor Center, ensuring the facility remains functional and safe for visitors. The project emphasizes repairing or replacing compromised windows and surrounding materials, with a focus on sustainability and quality. Work Details The contractor will perform various tasks including: - Removal of storm shutters and repair of water and termite damage. - Replacement of nineteen (19) windows on the north side of the building, along with compromised supporting materials. - Investigation of damage extent around each window prior to repair or replacement. - Project mobilization and demobilization, management oversight, quality control, and cleanup of debris generated during construction. The contractor must provide all necessary labor, equipment, materials, tools, and supervision as specified in the Statement of Work (SOW). Tasks include mandatory work under Base Requirements (Tasks 1–3) and optional tasks (Tasks 4–10) that may be exercised at the discretion of the government if funding allows. Period of Performance The contract performance period is from July 13, 2026, to January 11, 2027, with an option for additional work extending to July 12, 2027. Place of Performance The construction projects will be performed at the MS Sandhill Crane NWR located at 7200 Crane Lane, Gautier, MS 39553.
