The NCO 15 Consolidated Mail Outpatient Pharmacy(CMOP), Contracting office is conducting market research only to gain knowledge of potential qualified sources and is issuing this sources sought notice for Ethium Lithium-Ion Battery Pack repair/replacement. Offers are not being solicited at this time. The Government does not intend to award a contract on the basis of this request for information. Vendors are required to address the following questions to be considered a viable source for future needs; Can you meet the requirement as described in attached the Statement of Requirements? Any responses to this sources sought must include an answer to all of the above question in order to adequately assess the capabilities of the marketplace in relation to the requirements of this procurement. Background The NCO 15 Consolidated Mail Outpatient Pharmacy (CMOP) is conducting market research to identify potential qualified sources for the repair and replacement of Ethium Lithium-Ion Battery Packs. This sources sought notice aims to gather information from vendors regarding their capabilities to meet the requirements outlined in the Statement of Requirements. The Shawnee VA CMOP, located at 23501 W. 84th St., Shawnee, KS, is specifically seeking vendors who can provide shipping and repair services for a battery pack used in a Toyota electric forklift. Work Details The contractor shall be responsible for the following tasks: 1. Remove the ET36-2480-31 Lithium-Ion Battery Pack from the forklift located in the receiving bay. 2. Crate the battery for shipment and arrange transportation to the designated manufacturer's repair facility, preferably Ethium by Econtrols in San Antonio, TX. 3. Provide all materials and equipment necessary for completing these tasks, including an additional forklift to lift and secure the battery into the shipping crate, as well as any required personnel and supplies. 4. Upon completion of repairs, reinstall the repaired battery pack into the forklift and perform preventative maintenance (PM) checks on the unit. 5. Verify proper operation of the Viking charger before notifying the VA of project completion status. 6. Ensure that all systems are functioning as designed and that all accessories on the forklift are operational before considering work complete. Period of Performance The project is expected to begin no later than one week after notification to proceed is given to the contractor and should be completed within a reasonable time frame, not exceeding 60 days from award. Place of Performance Work shall be performed at the Shawnee CMOP located at 23501 W. 84th St., Shawnee, KS.
