Substitute School Nurse Services

Background

The Colonial School District is seeking proposals for Substitute School Nurse Services. The goal of this contract is to ensure that qualified nursing services are available to meet the health needs of students in the district. This RFP is issued by the Central Bidding Department of the Colonial and Red Clay Consolidated School Districts.

Work Details

The contractor will provide substitute school nurse services, which include but are not limited to: administering medications, providing first aid, managing chronic health conditions, and ensuring compliance with health regulations. The contractor must supply qualified nursing personnel who are licensed and experienced in school health services. Specific requirements include maintaining accurate health records, communicating with parents and guardians regarding student health issues, and collaborating with school staff to promote student wellness.

Services will be performed at various schools within the Colonial School District.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must be licensed to practice nursing in the State of Delaware. They must also provide proof of liability insurance coverage with minimum limits as specified in the RFP. Additionally, bidders should demonstrate experience in providing school nurse services or similar healthcare services.
