Special Education Services District-Wide

Background

The Brownsville Independent School District (BISD) is seeking proposals for Special Education Services District-Wide to support its mission of providing quality education to all students, including those with special needs. The goal of this contract is to ensure that BISD students receive the necessary educational services tailored to their individual requirements. The tentative board approval date for this contract is August 4, 2026.

Work Details

The contract includes a variety of contracted services for special education, including but not limited to: 1. Speech Language Pathologist - Hourly rate for services for BISD students. 2. Speech Language Pathologist Assistant - Hourly rate for service for BISD students. 3. Licensed Diagnosticians - Hourly rate for service for BISD students. 4. Teachers for the Visually Impaired - Hourly rate for service for BISD students (both virtual and face-to-face). 5. Teachers for Deaf and Hard of Hearing - Hourly rate for service for BISD students (both virtual and face-to-face). 6. Board Certified Behavior Analyst - Hourly rate for service for BISD students. 7. RBT-Registered Behavior Technician / BT Behavior Technician - Hourly rate for service for BISD students (both virtual and face-to-face). 8. Licensed School Psychologist - Hourly rate for service for BISD students (face-to-face). 9. Orientation & Mobility services - Hourly rate for service for BISD students (face-to-face). 10. Professional Development Presenters - Hourly rate for service (both virtual and face-to-face). 11. Real Time Captioning services - Hourly rate for service (both virtual and face-to-face). 12. Translators other than English and Sign Language - Hourly rate for service (both virtual and face-to-face). 13. Music Therapy services - Hourly rate for service (both virtual and face-to-face). 14. Occupational Therapy services - Hourly rate for service (face-to-face). 15. Physical Therapy services - Hourly rate for service (face-to-face). 16. Social Emotional Learning/Presenters and Instructional Software - Hourly rate for service (both virtual and face-to-face). 17. Special Education Counselors - Hourly rate for service (both virtual and face-to-face). 18. Adaptive Physical Education services - Hourly rate for service (face-to-face). 19. Assistive Technology Personnel & Equipment services - Hourly rate (both virtual and face-to-face).

Period of Performance

The contract period will begin upon board approval on August 4, 2026, with specific timelines outlined in the scope of work.

Place of Performance

Services will be performed within the Brownsville Independent School District facilities located in Brownsville, Texas.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must submit copies of relevant certifications with their proposals, including those required by the Texas Ethics Commission as well as documentation proving qualifications in the specified areas of expertise.
