Background

The City of Miamisburg is seeking a consultant for the MOT-SR725-12.84 project, which involves the replacement of an existing traffic signal at the intersection of State Route 725 and South Heincke Road. The goal of this contract is to enhance traffic safety and improve pedestrian facilities to meet ADA requirements.

Work Details

The services required under this contract include preparation of construction contract plans, right-of-way plans, and legal descriptions for the traffic signal replacement. Specific tasks include: - Replacing the existing mast-arm traffic signal with a similar one, - Improving pedestrian facilities to comply with ADA standards, - Conducting minor drainage improvements, - Constructing a pedestrian connection along the east side of South Heincke Road between State Route 725 and East Central Avenue. The estimated construction cost for this project is $600,000.00. Additionally, prequalification requirements include: - Non-Complex Roadway Design, - Subsurface Utility Location Services, - Limited Right of Way Plan Development, - Traffic Signal System Design, - Title Research for Right of Way Acquisition Services, - Compliance with Financial Management System Evaluation.

Period of Performance

The anticipated date for authorization to proceed is July 2026, with an estimated construction start date of March 6, 2028, and completion expected by August 25, 2028.

The work will be performed in the City of Miamisburg at the intersection of State Route 725 and South Heincke Road.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must be prequalified by ODOT for relevant engineering and design-related services. Only individuals (not firms) are eligible for right-of-way acquisition services. Firms included on the current Federal list of suspended or debarred firms are not eligible for selection.
