Miamisburg City Services Acquisition

Background

The City of Miamisburg is seeking a consultant for the replacement of an existing traffic signal at the intersection of State Route 725 and South Heincke Road. The goal of this contract is to enhance traffic safety and improve pedestrian facilities to comply with ADA requirements. Additionally, it aims to address minor drainage issues in the area.

Work Details

The services required under this contract include: - Preparation of construction contract plans and right-of-way plans. - Replacement of the existing mast-arm traffic signal with a similar system. - Improvement of pedestrian facilities to meet ADA standards. - Construction of minor drainage improvements. - Development of a pedestrian connection along the east side of South Heincke Road between State Route 725 and East Central Avenue. Specific design services include non-complex roadway design, subsurface utility location services, limited right-of-way plan development, and traffic signal system design. Right-of-way acquisition services will involve title research.

Period of Performance

The estimated date for authorization to proceed is July 2026, with an anticipated construction start date of March 6, 2028. Completion is expected by August 25, 2028.

The work will be performed in the City of Miamisburg, specifically at the intersection of State Route 725 and South Heincke Road.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must meet prequalification requirements set by ODOT for engineering and design-related services. Only individuals (not firms) are eligible for right-of-way acquisition services. The prime consultant and all subconsultants providing engineering and design-related services must be prequalified in Financial Management System Evaluation.
