Electric Jib Hoist

Background

The Pease Development Authority (PDA), an agency of the State of New Hampshire, is soliciting bids for the procurement of an electric jib hoist. The PDA's mission includes fostering the redevelopment of the former Pease Air Force Base and promoting economic opportunities in the region. This contract aims to support commercial fishing operations at the Portsmouth Commercial Fish Pier by providing a suitable jib crane system for outdoor use, which must withstand a marine environment.

Work Details

The contractor is required to furnish, deliver, and install one (1) complete 1-ton overhead electric jib hoist system with the following specifications: - Supply of one (1) 1-ton overhead electric jib hoist suitable for continuous exposure to a four-season marine environment. - All associated components including mast, boom, bearings, base plate, fasteners, and anchor bolts. - Electrical system (220V, single-phase). - Delivery to site at Portsmouth Commercial Fish Pier. - Full installation including anchoring and alignment on the wooden pier. - Load testing, commissioning, and certification of the hoist. - Provision of operator documentation and manuals. The crane must comply with applicable safety standards including OSHA and ASME regulations.

Period of Performance

The contract work must be completed by September 15, 2026.

Place of Performance

Portsmouth Commercial Fish Pier, One Peirce Island, Portsmouth, New Hampshire.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must provide proof of compliance with OSHA and ASME standards and include detailed technical specifications with their bid. The selected contractor will also need to meet minimum insurance requirements as outlined in Appendix C of the solicitation document.
