Background

San Juan County is seeking qualified contractors to provide painting and drywall repair services on an as-needed basis for various County-owned and operated facilities. The goal of this contract is to ensure that the facilities are maintained in good condition through necessary repairs and painting, thereby supporting the mission of the Parks & Facilities Department.

Work Details

The awarded Contractor(s) will provide all necessary labor, tools, equipment, transportation, and materials needed to perform painting and drywall services, including but not limited to: - **Drywall Services**: Repair of damaged drywall (holes, cracks, dents, water damage), installation of new drywall (cutting, fitting, hanging, taping, mudding, sanding, finishing), texture matching, replacement of sections as needed, and minor framing repair associated with drywall replacement. - **Painting Services**: Interior or exterior painting of walls, ceilings, trim, doors; surface preparation (cleaning, scraping, sanding, patching); application of paints/stains/sealers/coatings; color matching; touch-up painting. All work must comply with local/state/federal laws and is subject to inspection by the County.

Period of Performance

The primary term of the agreement shall be one year from the date of award with options for up to three additional one-year renewals. The total duration shall not exceed four years.

Place of Performance

Services will be performed at various County-owned facilities located in San Juan County.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must be qualified and licensed under applicable New Mexico statutes. They must comply with all relevant federal/state/local regulations. Contractors must also provide proof of registration with the New Mexico Department of Workforce Solutions if their work order exceeds $60,000. Insurance requirements include general liability ($1 million), auto liability ($1 million), and workers' compensation at statutory limits.
