Background

The City of College Park is seeking proposals from qualified individuals, firms, or companies to transform the Camp Creek Parkway embankment at the GICC entrance into a signature gateway feature that combines landscape architecture and public art. The goal of this contract is to enhance the aesthetic appeal and functionality of the area, aligning with the city's mission to improve community spaces.

Work Details

The contractor will be responsible for the design and installation of landscaping features at the GICC entrance. This includes site preparation, planting of trees, shrubs, and flowers, installation of irrigation systems, and integration of public art elements as specified in the project documents. The contractor must ensure all work adheres to local regulations and standards.

Period of Performance

The contract is expected to be performed over a one-year period with an option to renew for four additional one-year periods.

Place of Performance

The work will be conducted at the GICC entrance located on Camp Creek Parkway in College Park, Georgia.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must provide proof of relevant licenses for any specialized work (e.g., electrical, plumbing) performed under this contract. They are also required to submit a bid bond of at least 5% of the bid amount and provide performance and payment bonds for 100% of the contract amount upon award. Additionally, bidders should have a physical business location within College Park or meet local vendor preferences.
