Background

The Early County Board of Education is issuing this Invitation for Bid (IFB) for the School Nutrition Program (SNP) to procure food and non-food products. The goal is to ensure that the School Nutrition Program can provide nutritious meals to students while complying with federal and state regulations. The SFA aims to select one or more vendors who can meet the requirements outlined in this solicitation.

Work Details

The successful bidder(s) will be responsible for supplying and delivering various food and non-food products as specified in Attachment B of the IFB. This includes compliance with USDA regulations, providing a Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) plan, ensuring traceability from receipt of commodities to delivery, and maintaining public notification capabilities for recalls. Vendors must also provide nutritional information for all products, ensure proper labeling, and adhere to pricing structures that remain firm for a specified period. Additionally, all deliveries must be made in well-maintained refrigerated trucks, with inspections upon delivery.

Period of Performance

The contract will commence on July 1, 2026, and end on June 30, 2027. There are options for extension up to three months at the same pricing and potential renewal for additional terms based on performance.

Place of Performance

The contract will be performed at various locations within the Early County School District. Specifically, deliveries will be made to schools listed in Attachment C.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must comply with federal and state laws regarding procurement and must not be debarred or suspended from participation in federal assistance programs. Vendors are required to submit business references and may need to provide evidence of financial capabilities upon request. The SFA encourages participation from minority-owned businesses and requires adherence to equal employment opportunity laws.
