Background

The City of Cairo is issuing a solicitation for the construction of improvements to the Water Pollution Control Plant. This project aims to enhance the facility's capabilities and ensure compliance with environmental standards. Work Details

The work includes furnishing all labor, materials, and equipment necessary for the construction of the Water Pollution Control Plant Improvements as detailed in the construction drawings. The scope also encompasses all necessary piping, drains, valves, appurtenances, and electrical work to ensure a complete and functional facility.

Period of Performance

The time allotted for substantial completion is 300 consecutive calendar days from the start date. The total time for contract close-out is 330 consecutive calendar days.

The contract will be performed at the Water Pollution Control Plant located in Cairo, Georgia.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must be licensed Utility Contractors by the State of Georgia. License numbers must be clearly indicated on the bid envelope. Bids must include a Bid Bond or certified cashier’s check amounting to at least 10% of the bid amount. Successful bidders will also need to provide Performance and Payment Bonds at 100% of the contract amount. All contractors and subcontractors must register with E-Verify to comply with Georgia's Security and Immigration Compliance Act.
