2026 Road Resurfacing

Background

The City of Norcross Public Works Department is seeking sealed competitive bids from qualified contractors for a road resurfacing project as part of the city's 2026 road resurfacing program. The goal of this contract is to enhance the infrastructure within city limits by resurfacing 19 streets, ensuring compliance with industry specifications and standards.

Work Details

The project will involve milling and resurfacing, which includes repairing the existing pavement base where needed, resurfacing adjacent driveways to meet street pavement grades, adjusting water valves and manholes, and installing pavement striping and markings as directed. The specific streets included in the project are: - Bolton Circle (2,261.6 ft) - Price Place Northwest (2,059.9 ft) - Unity Drive (1,403.6 ft) - Financial Drive Northwest (2,005.6 ft) - South Cemetery Street (3,539.2 ft) - Magnolia Street (264.9 ft) - Summerour Street (1,512.8 ft) - Ruth Street Northwest (610.1 ft) - Buchanan Street Northwest (1,100.0 ft) - Georgetown Park Drive (1,117.8 ft) - Dogwood Circle (2,480.0 ft) - Hunt Street Northwest (378.2 ft) - Norcross Glen Trace (858.6 ft) - Bishops Crossing Northwest (438.9 ft) - Doc’s Creek Court (294.3 ft) - Carroll Court (1,862.8 ft) - Freeman Circle (206.4 ft) - Wexford Drive (2,263.9 ft) - Lawrenceville Street Northwest (4,277.6 ft).

Period of Performance

All work must be completed within 120 days from the issuance of the Notice to Proceed.

Place of Performance

The work will be performed within the city limits of Norcross, Georgia.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must be experienced contractors capable of performing work of this type and magnitude and must provide their own materials and tools for this contract. A bid bond equal to five percent of the estimated cost is required if the bid amount exceeds $100,000. Contractors must also maintain specified insurance coverage including workers’ compensation and general liability insurance.
