Background

The City of Shady Dale is issuing a Request for Qualifications (RFQ) to engineering firms experienced in the development of asset management plans for municipal water systems. The City intends to apply for federal and/or state funding through the Georgia Environmental Finance Authority (GEFA) or similar agencies. A pre-application has been submitted, and the City is invited to submit a full application. Application writing services are not required.

Work Details

The services to be provided under this contract include the preparation of an asset management plan that complies with state standards, contingent upon the awarding of federal or state funding. Responding firms must demonstrate technical qualifications, relevant licensing, and experience in preparing plans for infrastructure projects. The statement of qualifications must include: A. History of the firm and resources; B. GEFA experience; C. Key personnel/qualifications; D. Current workload; E. Scope and level of service proposed; F. Experience with similar projects and a list of references; G. Fees and/or Percentages associated with preparing an asset management plan; H. Errors and Omissions Insurance.

Period of Performance

The RFQ was published on May 11, 2026, with qualifications due by June 16, 2026, at 12:00 pm EST. The selection process will occur shortly thereafter, with vendors officially selected at a regularly scheduled council meeting in July 2026.

Place of Performance

The work will be performed in Shady Dale, Georgia.

Bidder Requirements

Firms must be technically qualified and licensed to provide engineering services relevant to the scope of work. They must also have experience in preparing plans for infrastructure projects.
