Background

The Biloxi Public School District, through its Office of Special Education, is seeking proposals to provide school-based and clinic-based Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) services. This initiative is part of the District's commitment to comply with the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) and Mississippi Policies and Procedures State Board Policy 7219 regarding children with disabilities. The goal is to ensure that students with disabilities receive appropriate educational support and services.

Work Details

The contractor will provide a range of ABA services including evaluation, direct treatment, indirect treatment, parent training, consultations, teacher training, classroom observations, and functional behavioral assessments. Services must align with IDEA and Mississippi Policies and Procedures. Specific tasks include: A) Providing evidence-based practices in school-based services; B) Complying with IDEA and related policies; C) Maintaining student data for progress reporting; D) Offering specialized training for administration, teachers, and parents; E) Adhering to District Policies; F) Delivering services during the 2026-2027 school year and extended school year as necessary. Providers must be Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBA) in good standing.

Bidder Requirements

Providers must hold valid licenses in Mississippi or be located within 100 miles of the District. They must pass background checks and child abuse registry checks. The company must also provide assurance to indemnify the District against any claims arising from the contract.
