Rochester Town Office Building Envelope Improvements

Background

The Town of Rochester, Vermont, is seeking bids for construction services to improve the building envelope of the Town Office Building located at 67 School Street. The project aims to enhance the building's thermal efficiency following a recent energy audit. The work is funded through a SOV MERP Implementation Grant from the Department of Building and General Services (BGS).

Work Details

The scope of work includes multiple building envelope improvements focused on insulation and air sealing. Specific tasks include: 1. Air sealing the attic and replacing insulation with closed cell polyurethane foam and cellulose insulation. 2. Installing approximately 10 inches of expanded polystyrene board insulation on the foundation to achieve a minimum R-50. 3. Infill two unused basement windows with concrete or block. 4. Replace an exterior door with an insulated steel pre-hung door that meets specified energy efficiency standards. 5. Air seal electrical outlets and switches on exterior walls using foam gasketing to reduce air leakage.

Period of Performance

Construction is scheduled to commence in Summer 2026 and must be completed by November 15, 2026.

The contract will be performed at the Town Office Building located at 67 School Street, Rochester, Vermont.

Bidder Requirements
