Background
The City of Longview, Texas, is seeking proposals for the construction of the 2026 H.M.A.C. Hot In-Place Recycling project. Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for providing all labor, materials, equipment, supplies, and supervision necessary for the construction of 2026 H.M.A.C. Hot In-Place Recycling. Specific tasks include: 1. Furnishing and installing 1" thick HMAC Hot in Place Recycling (31,047 SY). 2. Furnishing and installing rejuvenated oil (3,275 GAL). 3. Furnishing and installing 1" thick HMAC Type D surface coat (1,889 TN). 4. Milling wedge 1" thick, 8' wide (8,379 SY). 5. Installing milled butt joint at intersections (2 EA). 6. Adjusting valve box to overlay grade (8 EA). 7. Adjusting manhole to overlay grade (6 EA). 8. Preparing and marking pavement with various specifications including solid and broken lines (quantities provided in the bid proposal). 9. Traffic control measures including furnishing, installing, and maintaining barricades and signs as per MUTCD standards.
Period of Performance
The contract work is expected to commence within ten (10) days after receiving a written notice to proceed and must be completed within sixty (60) calendar days.
Place of Performance
The work will be performed in Longview, Texas, specifically along Martin Luther King Jr Blvd from Young St to Raney Dr.
Bidder Requirements
Bidders must provide a certified or cashier's check or an acceptable bid bond amounting to at least five percent (5%) of the base bid as a guarantee for contract execution upon award. Successful bidders are required to furnish a Performance Bond, Payment Bond, and Maintenance Bond in amounts satisfactory to the Owner as per Texas law requirements.
