Chiller Replacement

Background

The City of College Park is seeking qualified contractors to provide turnkey chiller installation services. The goal of this contract is to ensure the complete installation and operational functionality of a new chiller plant system, which is essential for the city's HVAC needs.

Work Details

The contractor will provide all labor, materials, equipment, supervision, permits, and related services necessary for a complete turnkey chiller installation. The scope includes: 1) Demolition and removal of existing chiller plant equipment including two existing chillers, condenser water pumps, chilled water pumps, associated starters, VFDs, actuators, controls, and air compressors. 2) Installation of two new centrifugal chillers (Trane or approved equal), condenser water pumps and chilled water pumps as per design basis. 3) Modifications to piping systems including new and modified piping for chillers and pumps. 4) Complete electrical integration including new power feeds to mechanical equipment and installation of VFDs for chilled water pumps. 5) Provision of a fully functional Building Automation System (BAS) with integration of all components. 6) Installation of a dual-zone refrigerant monitoring system with alarms. 7) Complete system startup including performance testing and verification of controls. 8) Documentation including O&M manuals and warranty documentation. All work must comply with applicable codes and safety standards.

Period of Performance

The contract will be performed from the date of award until the completion of the project as specified in the contract terms.

Place of Performance

The work will be performed at the City Hall located at 3667 Main Street, College Park, Georgia.

Bidder Requirements

Respondents must demonstrate experience with commercial HVAC and chiller installation projects similar in size and scope. They must possess all required licenses and insurance coverage including Worker’s Compensation, Business Auto Policy with minimum coverage requirements, Commercial General Liability insurance with specified limits, and Professional Liability insurance.
